I’ve joined the Happy 365 group on Flickr, set up by my friend Kathryn. The idea is to try “posting an image of something that makes me happy” daily.

I ended up taking a few pictures today and they all qualified as images of things that made me happy. How lucky am I!

It was hard to pick the picture for today, but I finally decided on this, a picture of the bowl of rice porridge with century egg* and pork that I had this morning while enjoying dim sum with M.

We hadn’t planned on having dim sum. We went for a walk then felt like something to eat and the dim sum place was one of the few eateries that was open on a New Year’s Day morning in Northbridge, Perth, Western Australia.

Three reasons for my choice (if I needed any):

1. I like century egg porridge.
2. An unplanned experience.
3. I was with M.

*century egg is probably an acquired taste.
